CLEVELAND HEIGHTS - Destiny Burns is the founder, owner, and operator of CLE Urban Winery in Cleveland Heights, a unique and innovative winery. Some of the most passionate and dedicated wine enthousiasts live nowhere near a vineyard, and those in Cleveland Heights have a 15 minute drive ahead of them just to get to a freeway; however, Destiny has come up with a clever solution to this problem.

"Instead of bringing people to the wine, we bring wine to the people", Burns said when giving CleveItToUs host, Gremi, a tour of her business and operations. Her passion and dedication to her craft have made CLE Urban Winery a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts in Cleveland.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Destiny moved away for many years to serve in the Navy before returning to her hometown and starting her own business. CLE Urban Winery is located in the shell of an old auto repair shop, and when Destiny saw the potential of the space, she immediately knew what she wanted to do with it.

At CLE Urban Winery, Destiny crafts and creates all of the wine in-house, sourcing grapes from across the United States, primarily from the west coast. However, she also uses grapes from Ohio, highlighting her commitment to supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs. In fact, Destiny is passionate about helping small businesses grow, and she even allows them to set up pop-up shops in her winery to gain exposure and grow their customer base.

Destiny's dedication to her craft is evident in the many different types of wine she produces at CLE Urban Winery. She loves exploring the perfect wine and food combinations that explode with flavor on the palate, and she takes great pride in sharing her creations with her customers.
