Glass Blowing at the Coit Road Farmers' Market

EAST CLEVELAND - Gremi explores one of the oldest farmers markets in Ohio, and it's right in our back yard. Located near East 152nd and Noble Road in East Cleveland, Coit Road Farmers' Market is operated by the East Cleveland Farmers Market Preservation Society (ECFM), a 501(c)3 non profit organization run entirely by volunteers.
The Market is open every Saturday, from 8am to 1pm, and every Wednesday from June to October as well. When you walk inside, the first thing you're likely to notice immediately is Adam Winninger, a Cleveland native with a passion for urban farming and, get this, blowing glass. While typically you may not hear of those two passions going hand in hand, Winninger loves them both equally, and has his art (and process) on full display right here at the Coit Road Farmers' Market.
Adam also owns a company dedicated to urban farming and growing, which is worth a deep-dive on its own merrits and definitely worth the plunge. From planting to harvesting, cutting edge farming techniques like aeroponics, permaculture, urban regenerative farming, and more. This company is so invested in local farming and growth that you can find him listed as a partner of Ohio Proud; a large organization working in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Agriculture, to keep our state's economy strong by investing in locally grown and harvested foods.
If you are passing through the East Cleveland neighborhoods on a Saturday morning or early afternoon, this is definitely a place you should check out and explore. You're sure to have a great time, find some wonderful goodies and meet some extraordinary people.
